… A little after 9:00pm Kiptyn Locke tweeted:

“Thank u all so much for your msgs. I’m a lucky man. The Bachelorette was an amazing experience that I was proud to be a part of. The show “Bachelor” is intriguing, I have some immediate goals, both professional and philanthropic, that need to take precedence. I wish ABC & the new Bachelor all the best & I look fwd to watching the show every wk starting in Jan!”

…and shortly after, on tonight’s Dancing with the Stars results episode… it was announced that the season 14 Bachelor will be…

… Jake Pavelka…

…the rumors were true… but i’m not so sure how i feel about it yet… what do you guys think?…

…Bachelor 2010: Announced TONIGHT…

…FINALLY… tonight is the night… we’ll know who the next Bachelor will be…

…i’m leaning towards MYSTERY MAN… someone new, hot, and dishy… i’m picturing “all-american” rather than “american bad-boy”… just a guess…

… the rumor mill says Jake from last season… and a poll that just closed on PEOPLE.com shows that the majority of viewers wanna see Kiptyn Locke have another shot at romance…

…the beginning is near… and the end is undetermined…

… no, really… tonight is the night the entertainment starts… but according to THIS SUPER INTERESTING ARTICLE… the end has yet to be determined…

…this is the first season of the Bachelor and Bachelorette… where the season has begun airing… before taping has finished… which sort of makes me wonder if those still involved…including Jillian… will be able to watch what airs in the next few weeks… and if her decision will be influenced in any way by actions caught on camera… but that she never happened to witness…

…hmmmmm… the plot thickens… and makes me all-the-more excited…

… we plan to light a fire… pour the champagne… and have ourselves a 3 course meal... yeah, we’re makin’ a real go of it…

… my contribution… will be a layered strawberry shortcake… with a powdered sugar butter cream frosting… and i’ll be sure to post the recipe later this week… along with my thoughts on the fine (or not-so-fine) contestants for the season… and a round up of what went down…

… Monday can’t come soon enough… yeah, when was the last time you heard that… 

… i say that partially because i’m going to be working a great deal of overtime in the days between now and then… 

… but MOSTLY… because MONDAY is when the new season of the BACHELORETTE begins… 2 hour season premiere… woo hoo… girls night in… yes, please…

…the bachelorette: fantasy rose ceremony…

… the boys play fantasy football… scratch that… the boys OBSESS over fantasy football… so in college… a couple of girlfriends and i decided we should have a  fantasy rose ceremony competition while watching ABC’s The Bachelor…

… now i admit… that this is completely mindless television… but ya know what… i work VERY hard and long hours… and over-commit to lots of things…  i am a busy little bee… and i’ve honestly found… that making a commitment to watch the bachelor with my roommate every Monday night last season (i know, i know… let’s not discuss the outcome)… was INSANELY good for me… because it forced me to slow down, and be mindless… for even just a few hours per week…

…that said… the new season starts on May 18th… and yes, i am excited… and will watch little Miss Jillian from BC… despite the train wreck that was last season…
