…. i don’t think i’ve mentioned it yet… but i LOVE disney… i love disney so much… that i have a mickey mouse waffle maker… that’s right… my waffle iron creates the essence of the big mouse himself…
… last summer… a couple girlfriends and i decided the best way to get ready for an impending trip to disneyland… was by watching a childhood classic (the little mermaid)… and indulging in a little breakfast for dessert… especially since the breakfast item paid homage to the foundation of all things magical…
…we made mickey mouse waffles… i always add a little bit of vanilla extract to my waffle batter… just to give it a little flavor… and honestly- waffles really are a perfect dessert offering… a little softer than a waffle cone… and a little thicker than a crepe… we piled them with vanilla bean ice cream… nutella… butterscotch or caramel sauce… and fresh fruit… and let me tell you… it was heaven…
…oh… and don’t forget… no breakfast or dessert is complete without the champagne… so we had a bellini or two to complement our happy creations…
